George has over thirty years of resource industry and corporate finance experience. He has been a senior executive and board member of a number of mining and energy companies as well as an adviser to many resource sector corporate clients and investors. He has managed transactions in Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa and Australasia.  His core areas of expertise include M&A, corporate strategy and the identification, evaluation and implementation of resource project opportunities.

In addition to his role as an advisor to AWR Lloyd (and former Chairman of AWR Lloyd), George is Chairman of Pryme Oil and Gas Ltd, an ASX listed junior oil and gas exploration and production company with activities in the Gulf Coast states of the United States, Chairman of Ausenco Ltd, an ASX listed company providing engineering services to resource companies throughout the world, and a non-executive director of Cape Alumina Limited, an ASX listed company involved in the evaluation and development of bauxite resources on Cape York in far North Queensland.  He also has an interest and involvement in resource-related venture capital and private equity.

He has been awarded degrees in engineering (B Sc. Eng (Industrial)) and business administration (MBA) from the University of NSW in Australia, has completed the Stanford Executive Program (Stanford University, California USA)  and he is a fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
